A hair tint is not permanent, but washes out over time. Our Sanotint hair tints are washed out in three to eight washes, depending on the hair type.
A hair tint is much gentler on the hair than a permanent hair color. The color of the tint is only deposited on the outside of the hair and does not penetrate into it. In addition, our hair tints contain mostly natural ingredients that also care for the hair with vitamins and minerals.
Hair coloring is very different from hair tinting. Proper hair dyes penetrate the hair and can fundamentally change the color. In most cases, these are oxidation hair colors that consist of two components. An oxidizing agent such as hydrogen peroxide ensures that the natural color pigments in the hair are destroyed and it is lightened. The color then ensures the desired change. A tint does not contain any oxidizing agents and does not attack your natural hair color. It is therefore not possible to lighten the hair with a hair tint. You can only darken your hair or provide certain reflections.
