General Information
Savon du Midi shea butter soaps are made in Provence, France. Soap making from vegetable oils has a long tradition around the Mediterranean. Its focal points in the south of France are Marseille and Provence. Only vegetable oils from controlled organic cultivation (kbA) are used for soap production in the saponification process. After saponification, shea butter and, depending on the variety, honey, perfume or essential oil are added during the final processing. Our soaps are made with inherited expertise in the tradition of Provençal soap making. This predominantly artisanal production method is reflected in the quality of a mild and nourishing soap. None of the soaps contain animal fats.
