Instructions for hair collection 1. If possible, the hair should not be dyed, tinted and/or permed, as this chemical hair treatment does not produce reliable results. If you send in hair that has been treated in this way, we cannot accept any responsibility for the result. With an average growth of 10 mm per month, the waiting time until an untreated sample can be taken is around 4 to 5 months. 2. Before taking the sample, wash and dry the hair with a mild shampoo. 3. The hair from the back of the head or neck is taken close to the skin - at the hairline. To do this, lift the top hair, make a straight parting from ear to ear and cut off a few strands directly at the scalp. In exceptional cases, pubic hair can also be used as a substitute. Please do not mix head hair and pubic hair. 4. The length of the hair should not exceed 3 to 5 cm. Hair that is over 5 cm long should be shortened accordingly at the tips and the tips discarded. 5. To cut the hair, it is necessary to use clean, rust-free scissors to avoid contamination. 6. A minimum of approx. 300 mg of hair is required for the test, otherwise an inaccurate result is to be expected. (The amount corresponds to about a heaped tablespoon). 7. Please place the hair sample in the parchment bag provided and label it with your name. Do not place the hair sample in aluminum foil or plastic bags! 8. The data sheet should be filled out as completely as possible. All information will be treated as strictly confidential; information about any illnesses is not absolutely necessary. 9.
