ERNTESEGEN Ur-Salz: Natural, Untreated, and Unadulterated

Discover ERNTESEGEN Ur-Salz, a natural and untreated rock salt that contains no additives. Unlike evaporated salt, ERNTESEGEN Ur-Salz is mined, mechanically crushed, and ground to the desired size. It undergoes no dissolution in water, no evaporation, or refining. Nothing is removed, and nothing is added - ERNTESEGEN Ur-Salz remains in its natural and untreated form.

Our ERNTESEGEN Ur-Salz comes from salt deposits in Northern Germany, specifically from the area of the former Zechstein Sea. It is mined there to ensure high quality and purity. The salt dates back to approximately 220 million years ago, when the primeval sea dried up. Due to tectonic shifts, it moved deep beneath the Earth's surface, thus remaining protected from today's environmental pollution.

We are proud that ERNTESEGEN Ur-Salz is natural, untreated, and free from additives. It is ground into various sizes to meet individual needs. We attach great importance to transparency, which is why all ingredients are fully declared on the packaging.

At ERNTESEGEN, we adhere to the BNN Code "Bio can do more!", which means we do not use additives such as colorings, preservatives, added flavors, or modified starches. Our focus is on the purity and naturalness of the salt to offer you an unadulterated taste experience.

Enjoy the pure taste of ERNTESEGEN Ur-Salz, which comes directly from the primeval sea. Experience the naturalness and purity that characterize this salt. Use it as the perfect ingredient to refine your dishes with a pinch of naturalness.

Choose ERNTESEGEN Ur-Salz and experience the difference that quality and purity make. Discover the salt that contains only the essentials and elevates your culinary experience to a new level.

Special Features

ERNTESEGEN Ur-Salz comes from the primeval sea, which dried up about 220 million years ago due to climate changes. Due to tectonic shifts, the salt moved beneath the Earth's surface and is now stored as rock salt several hundred meters deep - protected from today's environmental pollution. Rock salt contains approx. 1.2% minerals and trace elements.

Trace Elements

  • Iron: < 0.1 mg per 100 g rock salt

Our ERNTESEGEN Ur-Salz chemically consists of 99.9% sodium chloride and 1.1% minerals and trace elements. Sodium chloride dissolves completely in water, while the minerals calcium and magnesium, which are contained in ERNTESEGEN Ur-Salz, are only partially water-soluble and remain as a visible residue. In addition, the salt contains very small amounts of trace elements such as iron, zinc, iodine, and fluorine. Due to their low concentrations, these trace elements are not directly visible and can only be detected by analytical methods.

Due to its genesis, the rock salt contains different concentrations of small black particles. These particles are known as anhydrite, a sedimentary mineral formed by the evaporation of seawater and is not water-soluble. The presence of anhydrite in the salt is harmless and does not impair its quality.
