Michael Lubs did his civil service on a biodynamic farm, which led to a change in his diet and life in the early 1980s.

He lived in a small garden house near Kiel, experimented a lot in the kitchen with the preparation of healthy and tasty food and grew vegetables in his garden for his own use. One day he was given a disused kitchen appliance. Inspired by his love of sweets, he used the new tool to create delicious fruit slices made from dried fruit and almonds. The natural fruit slices tasted great and should also inspire other nature lovers. The Lubs company was founded in 1982 with this intention.
