Information on production:
The tomato paste in Byodo's environmentally friendly ketchup is produced by briefly steaming sun-ripened and freshly harvested tomatoes immediately after washing. This measure inactivates enzymes, thus preserving the fruity taste and appealing red color. The tomato paste is then mixed with the remaining ingredients, followed by gentle heating and mechanical processing until the tasty Byodo ketchup is perfected and ready for bottling.
