Production information:
The production of Byodo tomato paste begins with sun-ripened Roma tomatoes, which are cooked using the cold break method immediately after harvesting. At gentle temperatures of a maximum of 75 °C, the fruity aroma and red color are preserved. This is followed by a double concentration of the tomato paste, whereby 10% more water is extracted than with single concentrated paste. This means that for 100 g of tomato paste, approximately 600 g of fresh tomatoes are used, compared to only about 360 g for single concentrated paste. In this way, Byodo tomato paste is given its particularly intensely fruity taste, significantly enhancing the enjoyment! Byodo's tomato-pepper paste is created by combining fresh tomato paste with fine pepper vegetable paste. The mixture is rounded off with organic sunflower oil, garlic and a pinch of sea salt.
